Projects in Progress

Tetherow - Hawk Ct.

Dug into the top of a small hill on the Western edge of Tetherow, this home has views from the Cascades, to Golden Butte, to Pilot Butte, and down to “Kidd’s Corner”, the convergence of four holes at a large water feature, which is the signature hole at Tetherow golf course.  To take advantage of the spectacular views, Spencer Williams designed a wide variety of outdoor spaces ranging from a partially covered entry courtyard with a water feature and exposed rafter beams, to a rear paver patio the full length of the house with a recessed hot tub, gas fire pit with built-in stone seating, a built-in BBQ, and an upper floor deck to take advantage of the views to the East.  The home features extensive stone work inside and out, sandwiched glulam trusses, and a lot of exposed powder-coated steel hardware to help support large cantilevers and deep overhangs.  Kristy Yozamp and the homeowners have already purchased a number of walnut slabs to use for select counter tops, a mantle, and lintels in a stone entertainment center with wood storage below.  The mixture of vertical and horizontal cedar tongue and groove siding, stucco, and stone on the outside of the home will help define spaces and break up the long façade of the home.  The oversized garage features parking for four vehicles, a ski waxing shop, and an inside dog washing station that doubles as a mountain bike gear cleaning station to keep the house clean when people get back from the dusty or muddy trails that start mere miles from the home.

Pronghorn - Canyon View Loop

Steve Van Sant designed this home 8 years ago and now we are happy to have the opportunity to build it.  The home sits above the sheer rock banks of the canyon on the signature 8th hole of the Fazio golf course at Pronghorn with views following the fairway down through the canyon as well as out to the Cascades.  A generous use of stone anchors the home to the site and pairs well with the stucco and exposed beam work to give the home a Mediterranean look that gives Pronghorn its unique feel.  To take advantage of the picturesque environment, the home has outdoor spaces ranging from an entry courtyard with open and enclosed spaces, a covered upper floor deck looking down into the canyon, and an expansive paver patio with built-in stone seating, a gas fire pit and BBQ, and a hot tub with a pergola above it, all looking out to the course and the mountains beyond.  Inside, the public spaces in the home are all open to each other, utilizing a massive back to back fireplace, exposed beams, and changes in the ceiling to define the connected spaces.  The Master wing of the home sits lower than the main floor providing some separation and reducing the overall massing of the home.  The upper floor, which is where the three Guest Suites and large Rec Room are, is accessed either by a set of switchback stairs or by using the elevator. Kristy Yozamp has already put in a lot of time with the homeowners to get all of the interior details dialed in. We can’t wait to see this one finished in 2016.

Awbrey Butte - Starview

Not only did Steve Van Sant design this home on the NW side of Awbrey Butte, but he designed the two across the street as well.  The garage of this home is dug into the steep hillside to keep the profile of the house low and out of the uphill neighbor's view, while maintaining the mountain views of the homeowners.  Even with the dug-in garage, the lot is steep enough that the garage floor will be a suspended concrete slab with crawlspace below it.  The Main Floor of the home sits lower than the Garage and is accessed by stairs spanning from a retaining wall to an entry deck.  The Master Suite and all public parts of the home are on the Main Floor with views out to the Cascades and decks for almost the entire length of the home with a variety of open and covered space to take full advantage of the varied weather of Central Oregon.  The stairs to the Lower Floor wrap around the double height stone fireplace and enter into the Rec Room.  Three Guest Suites, a Craft Room, and a lower deck with a hot tub finish off the lower floor.  Cami Clawson is working away on all of the interior details to make sure all of the clients’ selections are made before then need them in the field to keep the project on schedule and moving forward.

Sisters - Canyon Crest Dr.

Most of the homes we build are designed in-house, but we didn't want to miss the opportunity to build this home on a Beautiful lot in Sisters.  The home, designed by RDS Design, sits on the rim of a canyon overlooking the Whychus Creek with amazing Cascade Mountain views.  The home is dug into the hill to maintain height requirements due to the landscape and wildlife overlay zones, but takes full advantage of the views with a full-width upper floor paver deck and a paver patio along much of the walk-out basement with access to the hot tub and fire pit.
